Updates.

I've been so caught up in things around the house that I didn't realize I haven't blogged in weeks! So, here are 2 weeks worth of posts all jammed into one.

We decided it would also be a good time to actually move Evan into his crib in his own room (He has been sleeping in our bed for the past few months!). It's hard to do this cold turkey, so we do it a few hours a night until Evan wakes up crying... we'll do this every night until he gets more comfortable on his own. Anyhow, the walls were pretty bare in there, so I decided to make some stuff to hang. When he was napping one day, Desmond and I painted his feet and stamped it on paper to make this. Poor kid.














We also took Evan out of his baby bathtub and started bathing him in the real bathtub in his own bathroom. He loves it, especially since we have toys in there for him. His favorite is the "bathketball" hoop we got him =)

















Today we took him to the pool at the gym- his first time swimming since last Summer. He loved it!



He's really made some significant steps in the past few weeks. He's showing a much wider range of emotions, letting you know exactly when he's mad, hungry, excited, happy. AND, when told "no" he knows how to lay the guilt on thick with his pout:



He stands all the time now, and really really wants to walk. He'll let go and stand on his own for a few seconds until he loses courage and just sits down again. Here he is standing, but I didn't get a picture in time when he let go.




Finally, he can wave "hi" and "bye" on command now, and he can actually say it too (sorta). Before, he would only kinda move his hand, plus, it was so delayed... he would wave bye to you 5 minutes after you left. He talks all the time, and we're always amazed when he repeats what we say... and he really tries hard to say the words too.



That's about it for now... just keep us in your prayers... that Desmond and/or I will find a job soon. And, that we can find a good place for Evan to be while we work.
